Dogs at Hilton

We recently stayed at the Home2Suites hotel in Salt River, Scottsdale Arizona and we were thoroughly impressed how well we were treated. The staff were very welcoming to our dog and often took the time to give him some well received pets & love.

Hilton has a dedicated site for dog owners to search properties that are pet friendly. They have thousands of properties to choose from and can include some perks like dog beds & water dishes.

The Home2Suites offered a comfortable space for everyone including Sir Pippington. The full kitchen offered lots of high shelf storage for the dog food and a tile entranceway for the dog bowl. We had a dog crate which fit wonderfully under the counter and gave the dog a safe & secure space to sleep. It did not take any more of a footprint so we managed to stay for 10 days without bashing our toes against it.

There was some miscommunication with the cleaning staff and they showed up a day ahead of schedule. The dog was in his crate while the cleaning staff was vacuuming and cleaning around him. Thankfully, he is very well tempered and sat wagging his tail in his room (crate) patiently. Our previous pooch would have lost his mind. Next time, we will be more proactive with scheduling cleaning days that fit our needs.

It seemed that almost half of the guests had dogs which really added to the comfort for us. Now if only all of them would diligently pick up after their dogs it would have been even more pleasant. We do not need more signs, dog owners should know to pick up after their dogs.
